Ending An Amazing Summer

As school began, our fun summer started to end.

The Morrisson's took us out on the lake one last time before it went in storage for the winter. We had a blast BUT what would ya know that the ONE and ONLY time they had any problems with their boat would be this one. The amazing thing about boating is that we live less than 4 minutes from the lake. Take a left out of our subdivision, and it's less than 3 minutes down the road. Bad part here was that as we pulled in reverse to put boat in water, the trailer locked up. And, the guys couldn't figure out why. So...Ella went in played in the water with another kid, Kellen took his shoes off and burned his feet on the boat because it was blistering out, and at one point, we all just starting crying "waaaaaaaaaa" as loud as we could. About 2 hours later (and many Monster Vodka's), we were out on the water.

This was at our breaking point

We enjoyed playmates with sweet friends. We love Anna Catherine.

And, pillow forts.

And, of course the merry-go-round.

The kids started playing soccer. Kellen loved his cleats.

We sat in traffic and the kids ate McDonald's.

Lots of hugs in this house.

We continue to furnish this house. We're getting there but have a long way to go!
I found a lady who paints furniture. She has been my furniture "buyer" and painter. Love her! Saves me so much time.

We had custom built-ins made for the two massive holes on either end of our fireplace.

Always finding a way to get around the rules

Kellen fell in love with his Buzz Lightyear halloween costume.

Brian and I went to Austin City Limits to see Pearl Jam. Amazing!

We decided to take the bike taxi back to our car.

My creative one.

We spent a lot of time on our deck. We love it out there!

And, we throw fits.

But, he eventually calms down.

On to Fall!

Kindergarten

August 21st, Ella had her Kinder Camp at River Ridge Elementary. This gave her the opportunity to meet her teacher, friends, and time alone in the classroom without us. She loved it! There are so many blondies in her class - I think there are 16 blue-eyed kids, and a few brown and green-eyed, so crazy!

Kinder Camp

And, last day of Pre-K. Gifts for her teachers.

On Monday, the 25th, which was also Daddy's 33rd birthday, she started her first day of school! When we dropped her off, she put her things in her cubby and within seconds asked me if she could go sit at her table instead of getting a picture with me. She was ready! I did end up getting that picture though.

No tears from anyone on Day 1 and it's been a success ever since!

Love our views

1st day in a long time we've gone to school without Sissy.

I walked over to get her from after school care. She does the YMCA at her school.

 Happy Birthday Daddy!

Day 2 - walking to school

And, K gets a muffin on the way to his:)
